TRAVEL ACCOUNT of a 3 month tour to Germany from 24 June 1814 - 22 September 1814. (1814?). 331; 20 (notes) pp. Ms. in French on paper, written in a legible hand (r° & v°). W. 4 or. drawings (most probably by the author himself) in pencil and 19 engr. full-p. views. Bound in cont. marbled cf. bind., w. gilt sides and spine, yellow cold. edges. In marbled paper slipcase.

Account by an anonymous (young) Dutch man who travels by foot from Amsterdam to Germany in the company of a Mr. and Mrs. Huydecoper (v. Maarsseveen) and a Mrs. Gérard (?). They pay visit i.a. to Cologne, Koblenz, Frankfurt, Heidelberg, Kassel and many other towns and villages in Germany. The author mentions many names of the people they visit and describes landscapes and sights. In very fine condition. On page 331 he recalls: "(…) je conserverai toute ma vie le souvenir le plus doux et le plus agréable des trois mois passé dans une aussi bonne société."
