Fol. Cont. blind tooled cf. over wooden brds. w. brass bosses, 1 (of 2) brass catches and central lozenge shaped brass ornament on both sides. (Back gone, 1 (of 2) clasp loose, upper front side loose, engr. ti. trimmed and laid down on upper endpaper, 2 preliminary lvs. loose/last leaf of 2nd part also loosening, some worming throughout (but not severe and foremost in part 1), obvious traces of use, but else a rather clean and reasonable copy).
The first Dutch edition of this magnificent herbal, which is in all literature invariably described as (very) rare.
