Dutch translation of 'Refutation des Argumens avancés (…)', written by a Southern Netherlandish jurist of Irish descent, Patrick Mac Neny (1676-1745). In Münster it was determined in 1648 that the free trade of the Republic with the East and West Indies and the patents of the VOC and WIC were recognized, but in 1722 the Ostend Company was established which was granted a charter for a term of 30 years. This treatise is written in favour of this Ostend Company against the the interests of the WIC and VOC. - Landwehr, VOC, 28; Knuttel 16595; Sabin 102442.€ 400
