Contains also 13 curious full-page 'maps' of the world in volume 2, dealing with the creation of planet earth, including an early specimen of a multi-layered/moveable plate (vol.II, p. 963). With fine detailed plates presenting the building of Noah's ark, 2 large plates depicting the Tower of Babel and interesting plates with regard to natural history. Including a chapter on the history and construction of the Temple of Solomo with plates presenting architectural details and one large folding view of its façade at the end of vol. 2.
