ENLARGER/PROJECTOR. Birmingham, J. Lancaster & Son, last quarter 19th c. Enlarger with mahogany body, black leather bellows, brass lens, and copper lamp house. Approx. 50 x 15 x 36 cm. (Bellows i.a. defected).

Very decorative enlarger containing a light source in a brass lamp house emitting light through two opposing convex lenses, passing through a negative and a third lens after which the enlarged image can be projected onto a screen/wall. The original light source replaced by electric light. J. Lancaster & Son was one of the world's major camera makers in 1898. - Sold w.a.f., not subject to return.
