Attractive prints after Brown's paintings: The first depicting the moment when, on 26 February 1792, the sons of Tipu Sultan, Abdal Khaliq and Muiz-ud-din, were handed over to Cornwallis together with the preliminary treaty between Tipu and the British forces; the second shows Tipu’s sons handing the definitive treaty signed by their father to Lord Cornwallis; this ceremony took place on 19 March 1792, some three weeks after the princes’ surrender.
