(Spine & front side partly dam., leaf E1 dam. in lower outer corner (restored), with some loss of text; occas. sm. marg. defects and some staining/browning).

Extremely rare second edition of this important alchemistic work of Philipp Muller (1585-1659) chemist, botanist and professor of Mathematics at the University of Leipzig, in which for the first time potassium acetate was described. The work was very successful and went through at least 8 editions up until 1659. - Ferguson II, p. 115; cf. Caillet 7868/9 (eds. 1644 & 1656). - From the library of P.H.
