Claude de Santeuil (1628-1684) became a secular ecclesiastic at the Seminary of St Magloire, Paris, taking the name ‘Santolius Maglorianus’. He was invited by Cardinal Péréfixe and Archbishop Harlay to revise the Paris Breviary, which appeared in 1680, containing some of his hymns and those of his younger brother, Jean-Baptiste de Santeuil. - Very rare first edition.
