Dance scenes and court musicians photographed in 1884 by the Javanese indigenous photographer Kassian Céphas, official photographer to the Sultans of Jogyakarta, published by the Dutch ethnographer J. Groneman. This is the so-called 'red atlas edition' which came with a text booklet, unlike the 'green atlas edition'.
