We are housed in a classic 18th century building in the old center of Leiden, on the corner of two alleys and at the foot of the Pieterskerk. We are an auction house for books, prints, manuscripts and everything that has to do with the book in the broadest sense. Once the famous fourteenth-century lawyer and book collector Philips van Leyden was housed here; Because of the wisdom in books collected here by him, the house is still called "Templum Salomonis" to this day.
Since 1894 traditional auctions have been organized in our building, now twice a year, usually in May and November.
The daily management is in the hands of enthusiastic book lovers who run this company with great pleasure. They have years of experience in the auction industry and the book trade and know the world of the antiquarian book through and through. Whether you sell or buy, they make every effort to professionally guide your transactions.
