(Small hole in front side, ties fail, upper hinge weak, w. libr. stamps on v° ti-p., old scratched out name entry on ti., annot. in an old hand on fly-lvs. and in margins, a bit stained/browned in places).

First separate publication of the fragments of Lucilius, edited by Fransiscus Dousa, pupil of Lipsius and friend of Scaliger. Encomiastics by the Leiden circle (Scaliger, Vulcanius, Merula, Bertius, Scriverius, Meursius) adorn the beginning.
