Cont. hcf. w. raised bands, richly dec. gilt backs & brown labels. (Edges a bit worn/bumped, a bit foxed/browned in places, some creases & small tears to plates).

Henry Humphrey Evans Lloyd (c.1718-83) was a Welsh army officer and military writer. This was his most influential book. It was translated into German (five editions) and French (three editions). - The numbering of the plates is quite inscrutable, so we are not sure if all the plates are present. Extremely rare. - Sold w.a.f. not subject to return.
