Autograph manuscript presentation by the author, Jan Jansz. Orlers (1580-1646) "die dit gaf zijnen vriend, D. Hieronimus de Backere". De Backere was, at the time of publication, probably the director of the Heilige Geest orphanage. First biographical mention of Rembrandt van Rijn (p. 375) and with the six double-page plates from the first edition added.
