Ad 1: Erich Wichman, officially Wichmann (1890-1929), Dutch artist, eccentric, anti-parliamentary troublemaker, co-founder of the 'Rapaille Partij', anti-bourgeois writer and, from the mid-1920s, fascist. Copy w. author's autograph dedication written in ink on front cover to Louis Saalborn (1891-1957), actor, painter and musician. In 1916 Saalborn founded the artists' association 'De Anderen' with Erich Wichmann and Theo van Doesburg and took part in exhibitions of 'De Onafhankelijken'. Cf. Van Burkom, p. 151. Ad 2: Rare brochure in which Wichman fiercely attacks an art criticism by Kasper Niehaus (1889-1974) in 'De Telegraaf' that he disliked.
