Henry, Comte de Calenberg (1685-1772), a renowned 18th-century bibliophile who owned an extensive library, often bound in striking morocco leather with his coat of arms, which was auctioned in Brussels after his death. His journal for 1743 is particularly valuable because that year falls during the War of the Austrian Succession (1740-1748) and contains first-hand military observations.- One of 125 copies on 'papier d'Arches' (in the name of 'Comte John van der Burch'), signed by the president of the Société 'Prince de Ligne'.
