Cont. mottled cf. w. raised bands & red label. (Spine rubbed/chafed, corners bumped, large map a bit creased/wrinkled and w. sm. tear, a bit browned/foxed in places).

With large and attractive map of the Holy Land ("Chorographia Terrae Sanctae in Angustiorem formam Redacta et ex Variis Auctoribus a Multis Erroribus Expurgata") on two joined sheets, together measuring c. 83x32 cm. The map was probably engraved by Cornelis Galle after Adrichom and first published in J. Tirinus, Commentarius in Vetus et Novum Testamentum, Antwerp, 1632. - Copy with many (all?) plates, it is unclear how many prints it should contain. - Poortman IIa, p. 49-55.
