Charming account of an imaginary voyage through Dutch nineteenth century colonial Indonesia by a fictitious Dutch member of parliament by the name of Van Berkenstein, trying to make up his mind on colonial Indonesian affairs. Josias Cornelis Rappard (1824-1898) produced the watercolour drawings after which the lithographs were made, largely from photographs and other prints, to picture landscapes and European social life in Indonesia. - Bastin & Brommer 692.
