MANUSCRIPT -- OTTOMAN FIRMAN IMPERIAL MANDATE OR DECREE, written in Ottoman Turkish on paper. 19th c. The large tughra (probably Sultan Mahmud II (1808-1839) on top of a 5 line text in red and black ink. W. 10 official perforation stamps scattered all over which served as authentication marks. Framed and glazed. (A bit soiled on central vertical fold).
