Collection of chronologically arranged reports of meetings over the years 1741-1775 of the 'geërfden' (heirs) of Millingen. The smallest administrative unit in the Gelderland countryside was traditionally formed by the hamlets ('buurschappen'). These were organisations of the heirs, the owners or users of the land in and around a neighbourhood or village. The hamlet looked after the general interest. For example, it managed the common lands and roads, and was responsible for local water management. Neighbour masters were appointed for the daily representation of interests. After the introduction of the new municipal administrative structure in 1811, the new municipal authorities largely took over the tasks of the age-old heir organisations. Contains lots of names of locals, accounts of income and expenditure, proposed tenders, ordinances, etc. Names occurring: Schevichaven, Bliem, Schuler, Van de Pavert, Goossens, Reimers, Hoedt, Sluijter, a.m.o.€ 500
