Gratulatory emblem book produced by the Antwerp Jesuits to celebrate the installation of the city's new Jesuit bishop: Josephus Anselmus Werbrouck (1692-1747), born in Ieper, studied with the Jesuits there and in Douai and entered the priesthood at Antwerp. He was named Bishop of Roermond (1742), Ieper (1743) and Antwerp (1745). Bouttats (1666-1755) was the last of a well-known Antwerp family of engravers, active for about a hundred years. - Anet Cat.
