In addition, Egyptians, various African peoples, Mexicans, various North American indigenous tribes and South American peoples, as well as Australian Aborigines and peoples of the Pacific. The plates mostly show curiosities of folk life, including weddings, burials, other ceremonies, punishments, hunting customs, dwellings, costumes, etc. - The work was published in installments and does not contain a continuous collation. - Colas 2109 (calling for 143 plates); Sabin 49832 (144 plates); Hiler, page 623 (145 plates).
