Herre de Vos (1877-1948) was a Dutch actor and songwriter. He debuted in 1899 as an operetta singer in 'De dochter van madame Angot' by Charles Lecocq with the company Adee & Co. He sang at the Fransche Opera in The Hague, performed in Paris and London with Enrico Caruso. He adapted operettas, translated plays, wrote a large number of cabaret texts and a musical shadow play, composed, translated and also performed as a cabaret artist and singer of life songs (among others with Jean Louis Pisuisse). Containing also songs by other Dutch performers as Henk Stuurop. Also including similar texts in Dutch by the amateur playwright Harco Sonius (1902-1989) of whom a play 'Thuiskomst' in typescript is also added.€ 150
