In May 1909 the rector of the University of Utrecht organized several competitions ("prijsvragen") for the various faculties. This work was submitted to the Faculty of Medicine and Hoogkamer was awarded the gold medal. Inserted is a brochure with the "prijsvragen" and one with the assessments, but also price quotes from a German printer for the collotypes, as well as paper samples. After graduation J.
