GREVENSTUK -- "WAPENKAART DER PROVINCIEN, steden, eilanden en eenige voorname vlekken en dorpen van het Koningrijk der Nederlanden; naar officeele opgaven bewerkt en in teekening gebragt door Antonie Grevenstuk, calligraaph. Amsterdam 1877". 'Map' w. tog 264 coats of arms of all the major Dutch cities, all meticulously drawn, captioned and marvellously coloured by hand by master calligrapher Antonie Grevenstuk (1829-1896). 530 x 870 mm. Under glass and in a contemporary gilt wooden frame w. coloured vegetal border (frame by M. v. Menk "Hofleverancier Kalverstraat 21 bij den Dam, Amsterdam").

The map incorporates a central field with a large coat of arms of the Netherlands which is supported by two lions, surrounded by 11 coats of arms of the provinces and a calligraphed border. This central field is surrounded by 252 coats of arms of Dutch cities and villages in alphabeticial order, starting with Aardenburg and ending with Zwolle. The drawing is surrounded by a border composed of oak leaves.
