In 1647 the people of Naples rose up in a rebellion against the government of the Spanish viceroy in what has come to be known as 'Masaniello's Revolt'. - Casteleyn published a 2nd ed. of this work in 1652 (i.a. Waller 616) with a sequel, but this Haarlem edition of 1650 is exceptionally rare (not in Waller, Muller, De Vries, Scheepers). There exists another - also very scarce - Amsterdam edition of 1650, published by Van Ravesteyn, but this came without illustrations.€ 300
