Very good copy, with old owner's initials "L v L" in calligraphed cartouche on verso title-p. and with owner's entry "Cs. Cl. Callenbach Ao. 4de m: 1e dag 1818" on upper pastedown. This must be Cornelis Carel Callenbach (1803-1873), reformed preacher with the Nickname "De Profeet van de Veluwe", who was 15 years old when he acquired the book. This fits the beautifully printed, very rare edition (apparently meant for use at the Latin school) perfectly. Apparently only 3 copies in NCC. - Geerebaert p. 173.€ 150
