ANTIQUE STYLE BOOK CLOCKS. 2 Charming book clocks, made from 18th c. full marbled/mottled calf bindings w. richly dec. gilt backs and marbled/red edges. Front sides with mod. antique style gilt dec. & gilt roman numbers to mark the hours, ornate brass clock hands anchored by a decorative brass clasp. The inside of the book/books have been hollowed out to house a modern mechanical movement, encased in a transparent plastic cover. 1 clock is made from a thick book and the other clock from 2 vols. glued together. (Top of spines of double-vol. clock chipped, batteries not included, mechanism untested, functionality not guaranteed). -- Added: 3 Identical music boxes made from 18th c. red cf. bindings w. raised bands, dec. gilt backs, gilt crest on 2 front sides, a.e.g. Hollowed out books with a gilt-lined recess, positioned beneath the music mechanism, which is not visible. (Only 1 music box is still functional). -- (5).
