JELGERSMA, Tako Hajo (1702-1795). "Ars longa Vita brevis". 6 May 1744. Or. vanitas drawing in black ink representing a cloud, ornated with books, a bubble-blowing putto, painting tools, etc. 122 x 175 mm. Signed and dated in ink and with the annotation: "Pictura Studiosus Amator Harlemi". Framed and glazed, mounted.
According to the RKD, Jelgersma moved to Haarlem later in life, in 1757. He was a pupil of Frans Decker and Wigerus Vitringa and mainly painted portraits, landscapes and copies of old masters.€ 150
