This manuscript preserves the section on marriage law (kitâb al-nikâh) from a Hanafî fiqh compendium, comprising detailed discussions of the conditions of the contract, witnesses and guardianship, dower, impediments to marriage by blood, affinity and milk-kinship, as well as classifications of valid and void marriages. Of particular note are the schematic charts of prohibited degrees of kinship, and a didactic poem versifying the essential rules.€ 600
