Cont. pigskin, spine w. raised bands, richly blindstamped sides w. emblem of Justice signed "Andreas Hunefeld" in the middle. (Title handwritten (but faded) on spine, upper joint w. small break at the bottom, Ex Libris N.A.L. Vreeken on first free end-p., upper joint broken, title-p. & first 4 lfs reinforced w. paper, some (mostly marginal) wormholes).

Friedrich Taubmann (1565-1613) has greatly contributed towards the restoration of the true text of Plautus. This second edition is called "a most excellent one" by Harwood. - Schweiger II, p. 765; Dibdin II, 315; Sandys II, 362.
