(36), 583, (13) pp. W. engr. ti., 46 engr. of various sizes in text and 3 fold. engr. - Bound up with 2 works which have little to do w. the subject: THEOPHYLACTUS. Institutio Regia. Paris, 1651. (16), 99 pp. - And: REGALES NUPTIAE Ludovici [XV] et Mariae Carmen. Paris, 1726. 15 pp. - 3 in 1 vol. 4°. Ad 1: Important and valuable contribution to our knowledge of the Antilles and their inhabitants. The first part of the book relates principally to the natural history of the islands, and the second part to the manners, customs, religion and arts of the Caribs. The work comes unfortunately without the 'Recit' on North America of 43 pp. with which this edition was augmented, announced on the ti.-p. - Nissen ZBI, 3448; Sabin 72316 (all mentioning a different number of text-engr.; 46 is the correct number!). - Sold w.a.f., not subject to return.
