In May 1969, students occupy the administrative center of the University of Amsterdam, the Maagdenhuis. They demand more say in the course of affairs at the university. The occupiers are supplied with provisions via an air bridge with an adjacent building. After riots around the Maagdenhuis, the mayor and aldermen of Amsterdam decide to evacuate the building.€ 100
