The rare 2nd complete edition in Arabic of the Thousand and One Night, more complete than the first Calcutta 1814-18 edition, but still largely inspired by the Galland mss. and the forgeries by the Syrian scholars Chavis & Sabbagh, which Habicht had assembled or copied while studying at Paris in 1797-1807. This work is attractively printed with the Berlin Arabic types, the text enclosed in black rules.
