Ti.-p. w. woodcut of St. Jerome, letterpress text in red, woodcut printer's mark, surrounded by dec. woodcut border, 3 full-p. woodcuts (2 identical woodcuts dep. the Creation), 1 dep. the Visit of the Magi (before NT) and numerous small woodcuts in text. Sm-8°. 19th c. dark brown mor. signed by Zaehnsdorf, spine raised in compartments, inside gilt dentelles, marbled endpapers, a.e.g. (First lvs. a bit soiled/browned and w. repairs in places, but altog. in very good interior condition).

Van Heemskerk, Wierix, Dürer, Holbein, Goltzius) in text & numerous woodcut initials, tail- and headpieces and other decorative ornaments. Fol. Later antique style cf. w. or. spine laid down, later brass clasps & catches. (New endpapers, margins repaired at beginning and end, some marg. stains, a bit browned/foxed in places).

(Annot. in an old hand on endpapers and in a few other places, some faint marg. stains, sl. browned, but an excellent copy in very good condition).
