Written in black & red, richly illustrated in red, green, yellow, brown & blue w. mediaeval-style capitals, animals, flowers, birds, a hunting scene and coat of arms of the city of Nijmegen. 8°-obl. Limp cardboard covers. In modern clamshell box. (Binding weak, wear to covers).
A very finely executed work of art & devotion, containing quotes (notably from the books of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Sirach), prayers & exhortations to act right unto God. - Diem(m)er van Veers(s)en is a common name in 18th c.
