Soon after his appointment in February 1791, Chamberlaine inaugurated three publications, each reproducing ‘in facsimile’ drawings in the Royal Collection. The first and best-known of these works is the suite of eighty-four prints after Holbein portraits of members of the court of Henry VIII, issued between March 1792 and June 1800. From this series we have: Harry Guldeford Knight, Thomas More's father, Lady Hobbei, Ld. Wentworth, Lady Lister and Ph. Melanchton. 4 portraits are also printed on tinted paper.
