DELFT -- "(…) PROFYL van de Stadt Delft aen de West zijde (…)". (Delft), R. Boitet, n.d. (c. 1729). Engr. town panorama in bird's eye perspective of Delft as seen from the West on 2 conjoined plates by C. Decker after J. Verkolje. W. 3 cartouches 'in the air': one in the left outer upper corner addressing the spectator w. a poem by N. Heinsius, in the middle a representation of Fame blowing her trumpet and holding flags w. the city arms, and finally one in the right outer corner containing a legend. 246 x 1270 mm. Framed and glazed. (Vertical folds visible, most probably not mounted, browned as a result of underlying cardboard).
