Veiling 354 Manuscripts, Letters a.o. Written Documents

BOOK AUCTION RESULTS of the library of C(ornelis) van Rijckevorsel (1745-1803), sold by the Leiden auctioneers L. & J. Luchtmans, P. v.d. Eyk and D. Vygh on 21 Sept. 1778. Manuscript result list on paper, arranged according to format, in 10 columns, on r° and v°.

The result list is handed out to Johannes Kneppelhout (1745-1803) who was married to Johanna van Rijckevorsel. Kneppelhout may have been in charge of handling the estate of her uncle Cornelis (1705-1777), attorney at the Court of Holland in The Hague. The library raised a sum of 819 Dutch 'guldens'. The catalogue of this auction, not present here, exists in two Dutch library collections.
