FALCONS -- MANETTI, Xaverio (1723-1784), attrib. "Falco Barletta" and "Falco Albanella". N.d., 18th c. Drawings in colour wash of 2 falcon species, captioned in manuscript and numbered 'XXXVII' and 'XLVIII'. 475 x 360 mm (paper size). (Some foxed spots in places, but in good condition).
The "Ornithologia methodice digesta, (…)" in which the printed counterparts of these drawings were published, appeared between 1767 and 1776. No watermark detected. - Nissen, IVB, 588.€ 600
