Printed in a limited and numbered edition of 75 copies, our copy nr. 1, signed in the colophon. With dedication to his wife Eva: 'Voor Eva "Voorwaarts vol hoop!" (en moed)', dated 30-I-1983 (scratched out: "Voor Vera, Werner en Katja van jullie toegenegen Maarten B."). Opposite first page is written: "Dat in gemelijke grillen (…) dient het wijf dat moeder heet. Willem Elsschot". At the end a chapter VI is added in handwriting, but scratched out. Also some corrections/additions are written in the margins.€ 300
