Lopez Olivan, con amistad y agradecimiento. Ortega, Oegstgeest Julio 1937. José Ortega y Gasset (1883-1955), Spanish philosopher and essayist, had to flee Spain when the Civil War broke out, because he was an important member of the opposition. After wandering through Europe, he came temporarily to Oegstgeest, where he stayed in Hotel 'Het witte huis', opposite castle Endegeest.
