From Tien Tsin, 7 other vehicles came to meet them in the Himalayas. The entire expedition reached Beijing on February 12, 1932, and Haardt died on March 16, 1932, shortly before Hong Kong. The expedition was then canceled and the crew and vehicles returned to France by ship.
